Up for Debate: Concerns of the state legislature

When considering some of the bills our General Assembly occupies its time with [1], do you think our legislators really have the public's interest in mind? Some of the debates in Legislative Plaza and the state capitol bring Tennessee national attention in the media, at times to our state reputation's detriment. Is that to be expected in politics or is it unacceptable?
