Metro Councilman Walter Hunt announced Monday a $2,000 reward for information regarding the shooting death of 32-year-old Lashunda Brown.
Brown was hosting a birthday party for her brother at 3229 Spears Road on April 21, when two masked gunmen entered the garage and demanded money. They shot Brown and three party guests. The guests were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but Brown died on the scene.
The gunmen, who police believe had prior knowledge of the party and planned to rob guests, fled on foot.
Hunt made the call to action at the scene of the crime Monday morning. Hunt’s Metro council District 3 in partnership with the Woods Amphitheatre Community Fund are offering the reward.
Police are asking citizens to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or contact them online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com if they have any information. Tipsters can remain anonymous and qualify for the reward.
The $2,000 reward is in addition to the usual $1,000 reward offered by Crime Stoppers.
