Up for Debate: Councilman's 'roundtable' meetings

Councilman Steve Glover has scheduled public "roundtable" meetings [1] at his office to discuss Mayor Karl Dean’s proposed budget with council colleagues to look for ways to reduce the proposed 53-cent property tax increase. Do you think this is a good and potentially productive idea, too little too late, or simply a convolution of the process? Do you think similar meetings should be held more often on other topics?
