Metro police have identified the man fatally shot outside of an apartment at 200 Paragon Mills Drive Tuesday night as 28-year-old Shorish Faraj, of Shawn Drive.
Someone gunned down Faraj — who was recently named in an injunction filed against Kurdish Pride Gang members — along with his girlfriend, 46-year-old Guadalupe Garcia, outside of her apartment.
Police received a call of shots fired at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, and when they arrived at the scene found the two shot. They were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where Faraj died and Garcia was listed in stable condition Wednesday.
Detectives don’t yet have a motive in the shooting but are looking for a car described as a gray or silver Impala with a spoiler, possibly driven by a black man with dreadlocks.
Anyone with information about Faraj’s murder can call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
