Metro detectives along with the FBI are asking for help in identifying the man who shot at a Pinnacle Bank employee at the bank’s 4715 Andrew Jackson Parkway branch during a robbery Tuesday.
The gunman entered the bank just before 2 p.m., demanded money and yelled, “No police.” The gunman saw a female bank employee look out of a conference room door nearby and shut the door. As she did so, the suspect shot through the door, and the bullet lodged in the conference room wall, according to police.
The woman was injured on her hand, possibly from hitting it on the conference room table as she tried to take cover. She was later treated at Summit Medical Center.
After firing the shot, the gunman robbed one of the tellers and escaped.
Detectives believe he ran to an older model white Pontiac Grand Prix in a strip mall parking lot behind the bank. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid button-up short sleeve shirt over a light blue or gray long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a white floppy hat, sunglasses and a black Nike backpack.
Surveillance images show that he may have used makeup, spray tan or a similar substance to darken his face.
Police urge anyone recognizing the gunman to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or by logging onto www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com [1]. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
