Mike Fisher, Hal Gill and Paul Gaustad are among the players scheduled to play a prominent role at the Nashville Predators’ Skate of the Union Town Hall meeting, 4-8 p.m. Monday at Bridgestone Arena.
The franchise announced plans for the event Thursday.
The players – all acquired in trades over the last two seasons – account for one-third of the group that is expected to sign autographs, pose for photographs and meet with fans at the event. Also expected to take part are goalie Chris Mason, defensemen Kevin Klein and Jon Blum and forwards Brian McGrattan, Craig Smith and Colin Wilson.
For the first time, players also will conduct their own question-and-answer session with those in attendance.
That will take place from 6:15-6:45 p.m. After that franchise officials David Poile, Jeff Cogen and Sean Henry, head of the ownership group Tom Cigarran and associate coach Peter Horachek will conduct the town hall meeting. Questions for the officials will be accepted via social media or at the entrance to the arena.
The event begins with an open skate from 4-5:30 p.m. Select players will be available for photos beginning 4:30 p.m. and for autographs on the concourse at 5 p.m.
Free parking will be available in the Sixth Avenue lot (enter at Sixth and Demonbreun).
