Metro police arrested Jerome Stone, 20, Friday morning for allegedly killing 17-year-old Demarcus Jordan-Ellis Wednesday afternoon.
Members of the Metro Nashville Police Department SWAT team took Stone into custody just after 10 a.m. Friday at his 333 Rio Vista Drive apartment.
The arrest came after detectives located the gold Chevrolet Impala that witnesses reported seeing in front of the victim’s home at the time of the homicide. The car owner told police that he drove Stone to Vanderhorst Drive in North Nashville so that Stone could buy marijuana from Jordan-Ellis.
According to police, the car owner said he saw Stone pull a gun on Jordan-Ellis inside the house, prompting the car owner to run outside. The car owner said he then heard shots coming from inside the house, and at one point Stone walked out of the home before allegedly reentering and firing more shots.
A warrant charging Stone with criminal homicide has been issued, according to police.
