Two men accused of carjacking and killing 43-year-old Derrick Lyons on June 30 are incarcerated following a Davidson County Grand Jury indictment issued last Friday.
Antonio Crockett, 34, and Timothy Wilson, 23, are charged with felony murder, carjacking and employing a firearm during a felony. Wilson was arrested by the Metro Nashville Police Department Tuesday night off Lakewalk Drive in Antioch.
Crockett was booked on theft, domestic assault and weapon charges in July, according to Davidson County Sheriff’s Office records.
Lyons was waiting in an SUV for a friend outside of the J.C. Napier public housing development, when another vehicle blocked him in, according to a police affidavit. An argument ensued and Lyons was shot. He died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Crockett and Wilson were both in jail Wednesday on $750,000 bond.
