Harris joins Anderson Benson Insurance
Nashville-based Anderson Benson Insurance has hired Will Harris  as an agent.
Harris will perform insurance reviews and provide clients with personal plans.
Prior to joining Anderson Benson, Harris was a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual.
Harris is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management and marketing.
Lyday joins Wells Fargo Advisors
James Lyday has joined the Ward Financial Advisory Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in Brentwood.
Previously, Lyday spent more than 20 years in the institutional investments industry, most recently as a senior executive with Lincoln Financial and Prudential Financial.
Lyday is a graduate of Drake University with a degree in corporate finance.
GS&P adds staff
Gresham, Smith and Partners has announced the following staff additions and accreditations:
Joclyn Bilby has joined GS&P as a marketing production designer in the corporate services division. Bilby brings 10 years of experience in the graphic design and publishing industries. She is a graduate of Purdue University, where she earned an associate’s degree in computer graphics.
Angie Womack has joined as a marketing manager in the corporate services division. She received the Roger Clark Award from the Tennessee chapter of the American Public Works Association.
Louis Medcalf has joined as a senior quality control manager in the corporate services division. Medcalf, who has more than 30 years of experience in preparing constructions specifications, currently manages GS&P’s specification program and is a co-host of the Construction Specification Institute’s monthly Specifying Practice Group webinars.
DVL announces two hires
DVL Public Relations & Advertising has added Meghan Butler as vice president and Niki Giacchina as administrative assistant.
At DVL, Butler’s primary focus will be working with clients in the food and beverage and health care industries.
Butler previously worked at Seventh Generation and GCI Group/Cohn & Wolfe, a global communications agency. She is a Texas State University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations.
Prior to DVL, Giacchina served as executive assistant to the editor of The Virginian-Pilot, marketing assistant for the Burlington Indians minor league baseball team and public relations assistant at Big Brothers Big Sisters in Chesapeake, Va.
She graduated from Elon University, where she majored in corporate communications.
Nashville Health Care Council adds to staff
The Nashville Health Care Council has added two staff members while sister entity Leadership Health Care has made some key staff role changes.
Kalyn Dennisis the new event coordinator for the Council and will be responsible for providing logistical support for Council and Leadership Health Care member events. Previously, Dennis served as the executive coordinator for Nashville Capital Network. Dennis earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi.
Katie Schlacter has been hired as director of communications. She is responsible for all communication activities to Council members, media and other key stakeholders. Previously, Schlacter was a senior account executive at McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations, working with clients in the health care, retail, government and nonprofit sectors. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
In addition, Leadership Health Care Executive Director Judith Byrdhas taken the role of executive director of the Council Fellows initiative. Judith has been with the Council for six years, most
Jenni Bradley has taken the role of deputy director for LHC.
Bradley will be directly involved with the development and implementation of LHC programming, logistics, communications and membership recruitment and retention.
Bradley previously served as the program manager for the Council and LHC. Previously, she worked in Washington, D.C., in positions at the U.S. Department of Education, the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence and the office of Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr.
Caleb Graves has taken an expanded role as the Council's director of membership services and community relations. Graves will oversee member outreach, retention and recruitment.
First Freedom Bank adds banker
Bethany Haleyhas joined First Freedom Bank’s Lebanon office as an administrative loan assistant, providing support with the lending process including loan generation and portfolio management.
Previously, Haley was with Tennessee Commerce Bank in Franklin, where she worked in deposit operations.
Haley is a graduate of Madison Nazarene Christian Academy.
