State officials will host a public hearing Tuesday night regarding the proposed natural gas pipeline that would stretch nearly 14 miles from Antioch to Belle Meade, including a portion of the Radnor Lake State Natural Area.
The public hearing, held by the Tennessee Division of Water Resources, is set for Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. inside the Ed Jones Auditorium at Ellington Agricultural Center.
Last February, Piedmont Natural Gas sent out letters [1] to some residents of southern Davidson County announcing the plans. At the time, the company said no start date had been set but the work was expected to begin and finish in 2013.
According to Piedmont, Radnor Lake will be traversed using horizontal direction drill so as to minimize surface disturbances.
Ellington Agricultural Center is at 440 Hogan Road.
