Cold temperatures combined with overnight precipitation could lead to rush hour headaches on Tuesday morning.
“We’re calling for freezing rain, sleet overnight and a light accumulation of ice that could make for a hazardous commute,” said Mark Rose, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Davidson County is under a winter weather advisory until 8 a.m. on Tuesday. The NWS is predicting a low of 29 degrees overnight and advises that though many main roadways will be warm, bridges and overpasses may become slick.
Tuesday's high is expected to reach 34 degrees. Precipitation is expected to move out of the area by Wednesday.
