North Precinct Commander Terrence Graves was hit by an alleged drunken driver while Graves was driving in his unmarked police vehicle early Friday morning.
Graves was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard and Jackson Street when a car driven by 20-year-old Oona Doyle struck Graves’ vehicle from behind, according to a statement from the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Graves was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was treated and released. An open bottle of Bloody Mary mix was found inside Doyle’s car. She was unsteady on her feet, according to police.
Doyle, who was charged with driving under the influence and underage drinking, is free on $9,000 bond.
