A domestic dispute resulted in the death of 29-year-old Fabian Spence in Hermitage Wednesday night. According to Metro police, Spence’s estranged wife, Tiffany Spence, shot him during a struggle on the front porch of their home at around 8:30 p.m.
Tiffany Spence told police she went to the home to drop off the couple’s sons when an argument developed. She said Fabian Spence reached for a pistol in his waistband, but she was able to wrestle it away from him. During the struggle, she fired the gun and shot him in the back, according to police.
Fabian Spence died at the scene.
Police released Tiffany Spence pending further investigation and discussion with the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office.
