Megabus has found a stop in downtown Nashville after being asked to move from two prior locations .
The low-fare bus service announced Tuesday that it would begin operating on March 27 at a private lot near the SoBro intersection of Fourth Avenue South and Elm Street. The address of the privately owned lot is 704 Fourth Ave. S.
Previously, Megabus operated on public city streets, to the ire of the Metro Traffic and Parking Commission. The commission ousted Megabus from a Commerce Street stop in downtown Nashville late last year. The company then moved its stop to Nolensville Pike on the city's south side, but that site drew complaints and an official letter from the Metro Department of Law asking Megabus to move.
Megabus officials told The City Paper last week that they were close to finalizing a location.
