Metro Nashville Police Department officers and U.S. Marshals arrested 17-year-old fugitive Eric Goodner inside a Dickerson Pike-area apartment on Wednesday afternoon.
Goodner is accused of shooting Johnathan Johnson , 17, while Johnson was on his way to school on April 11.
Goodner was alone inside the Village Place apartment on Oak Valley Drive and complied with commands to exit and surrender. He was unarmed at the time of the arrest. The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force helped MNPD locate Goodner.
Goodner is being charged in Juvenile Court with criminal homicide. He allegedly shot Johnson, a Pearl-Cohn High School student, on April 11. Johnson died from his injuries.
Late Wednesday afternoon, Goodner was transferred to the Davidson County juvenile dentention center after refusing to talk to North Precinct detectives, according to Metro police.
