Titans complete draft by selecting cornerback from Washburn

The Titans completed the draft by selecting cornerback Cary Williams of Washburn College. Williams is the third player from Washburn to be drafted, and the second one to be taken in the past two seasons.

Bennett to Bears, Goff to Giants

Vanderbilt wide receiver Earl Bennett was drafted in the third round Sunday in the NFL Draft, while Commodore linebacker Jonathan Goff was a fifth-round pick by the New York Giants. This marks the first year since 2001 Vanderbilt has had three players selected in one draft. On Saturday, offensive tackle was a first-round pick by the Chicago Bears. Bennett, the leading receiver in Southeastern Conference history with 236 receptions, chose to bypass his senior season in 2008 to enter this year’s NFL Draft. "Everything worked out good," he said. "I don't have any regrets with anything I did." Goff led Vanderbilt with 113 tackles in 2007. Check back later for more updates.
